Andrés Beltrán is a Colombian writer-director based in Los Angeles, recognized for crafting visually striking genre worlds, moving seamlessly between psychological horror and explosive action. Drawing on Latin American folklore, his latest supernatural horror feature, Postmortem, which became a Screenplay finalist at Sitges Pitchbox, in addition to earning Special Mention, stars Odette Annable and Tony Revolori. Beltrán first gained international recognition with the supernatural thriller Tarumama, which premiered at Sitges, where it was quickly acquired by HBO. For propulsive series like Wild District on Netflix and MalaYerba on Starz, Andrés shifts gears to embrace a kinetic, guerrilla style action driven by momentum and visceral energy, while once again utilizing a landscape of bold and vibrant color. Postmortem will make its world premiere at the 2026 Screamfest Horror Film Festival.
