Synopsis
A stranded salesman discovers a murder and must outwit two killers before he becomes the next body.
In the dead of night, traveling salesman Monty Crane seeks shelter from a storm at Cadillac Jack’s, a roadside diner in the middle of nowhere. Carrying a briefcase full of steel-bound Bibles, Monty encounters Lola, the waitress working the late shift, and Slim and Lefty, two customers who seem less than trustworthy. When Monty discovers a body in the diner’s walk-in freezer, his brief stop takes a sudden turn. As he tries to make sense of what has happened, Monty finds himself caught between two dangerous men and a situation he is increasingly ill-equipped to control. What began as an ordinary stop at a roadside diner quickly becomes a fight to make it out alive.

Jacob Piller grew up in suburban North Carolina, where his first film set was his backyard and his first cast was whoever happened to live next door. With a home video camera in hand and a curiosity about the world beyond his own, he discovered early on that movies could transport him to different places, different time periods, and different lives long before he ever left home. That sense of discovery continues to shape his work today.
A graduate of the Savannah College of Art and Design and USC School of Cinematic Arts, Jacob creates films inspired by nostalgia, discovery, and the hidden stories found in history. He is drawn to stories that entertain first, invite audiences to escape, and quietly leave them seeing the world a little differently. His latest film, No Loose Ends, brings that sensibility to a roadside diner, where a stranded traveling salesman stumbles upon a murder and finds himself trapped between two killers. Read less
