Darkroom
Synopsis
In his home darkroom, a crime scene photographer develops pictures of a gruesome murder. He discovers a disturbing blur on the images, distorting the victim's face. Each new print he makes comes out more unsettling than the last. Bizarre events start happening around his house, frightening his young daughter, and leaving him to wonder if something supernatural was captured on his film.

Matt Black has worked as a writer, producer, director, editor, script reader/consultant, archivist, and film professor. As a screenwriter, he has sold, optioned, or been hired to write nearly a dozen feature films and has developed three TV shows with veteran showrunners and major studios, selling one in a competitive bid in 2017. He has produced two feature films. The first, a horror comedy called PORNO, which he also co-wrote, premiered in Dramatic Competition at SXSW in 2019 and was distributed in 2020 Fangoria and Shudder. The second, UMMA, which was produced with Sam Raimi for Sony Pictures and starred Sandra Oh, was released theatrically in 2022.
